Nossy vs SMEMOVE

SMEMOVE keeps the books a Thai SME has to keep. Nossy works one step earlier, at the moment a receipt lands in the LINE group, and covers the stock, jobs, and follow-ups that are not accounting at all.

Short answer Nossy does not replace SMEMOVE. SMEMOVE is accounting software, with a chart of accounts, Thai tax forms, and reports an accountant will accept. Nossy works before the books: it takes what happens in the LINE group during the day and writes it into a spreadsheet in the owner's own Google Drive. Much of what a shop tracks is not accounting at all, and that is the part Nossy covers.

What SMEMOVE is for

SMEMOVE is cloud accounting software built for Thai SMEs, and it says it serves more than 6,000 companies. It does bookkeeping as documents are created, produces balance sheets and profit and loss reports, and handles the Thai tax forms a business actually has to file, including ภงด 1, 3, 53 and ภพ 30, 36, plus withholding tax. It also covers stock with barcodes and serial numbers, and payroll with social insurance. For keeping the books of a Thai small business, it is a solid, local, well-priced product.

Where it breaks in a chat-run shop

The day happens somewhere else

The shop runs in the LINE group. The delivery photo, the “we are out of oat milk”, the customer who wants to move Thursday, the payment somebody made from their own pocket. None of that is a document yet. It becomes one later, if the owner remembers, at night.

Accounting shape does not fit most of the work

A chart of accounts is the right structure for money. It is the wrong structure for who is on shift, which recipe the new barista needs, whether the aircon cleaning is booked, or which supplier still owes a delivery. Those are most of the day, and they have nowhere to go.

The entry work still lands on one person

Somebody has to sit down and put the documents in. In a shop with no bookkeeper, that person is the owner, after closing, from a pile of paper and a scrollback. The software is not the problem there. The hour is.

What Nossy does instead

It records the day as the day happens

Staff say what happened in the LINE group and Nossy writes it as a row: stock in, stock out, an order, a booking, a payment. Nossy stamps who sent the message and when, straight from the message, so nobody fills in a who or when column.

A photo becomes a row and a filed document

Send the receipt or the delivery note into the chat. Nossy files the image into the project’s Google Drive folder and writes the row with a link back to it. When it reads a figure off the image, it confirms that figure with the sender before treating it as fact. At month end the rows are already there, which is a shorter walk to the accountant than a pile of paper.

It remembers the things that are not money

Recurring loops get set up during the interview and armed when the chat connects: the nightly stock count, the weekly staff report, chasing an unpaid payment, the filing deadline on Friday. Nossy nudges people inside the group. It never messages your customers.

What Nossy does not do

  • Nossy works in LINE, Telegram, and WhatsApp direct chats. WhatsApp group chats and iMessage are coming soon.
  • Nossy does not connect to your other software yet. Tool connections are coming soon.
  • Nossy never messages your customers. It works inside your team's own chat, and it nudges your own people.
  • Nossy does not replace a POS, a payment system, or accounting software.
  • Nossy reads a spreadsheet you already have once, during setup, and only if you share it as anyone with the link. Day to day it sees the files it created or was sent in chat, so a file you drop into the Drive folder by hand stays invisible to it.
  • The report pages Nossy builds are public links that last about a day. The workbook in your Drive is the durable record.
  • SMEMOVE is proper Thai accounting software. It produces the withholding tax and VAT forms a Thai business actually files, and reports an accountant and the Revenue Department will accept. Nossy's workbook is an operating record, not a filed set of books.
  • SMEMOVE has a free tier and paid plans from 199 baht a month (as of 2026-08). That is a much smaller monthly commitment than Nossy, and for a shop that only needs the books kept, it is the right spend.

Pricing

  • Plus is $20 a month with 4,000 credits. Pro is $40 with 8,000. Max is $100 with 20,000.
  • One price per business. Your whole team chats with Nossy at no extra cost, because there are no seats.
  • Credits measure the work Nossy does. $1 buys 200 credits. Plan credits reset monthly, top-up credits do not expire.
  • There is no free plan. Nossy is in beta and we onboard teams by call.

Common questions

Do I still need SMEMOVE?

If you need Thai accounting, yes. Nossy does not produce ภงด or ภพ forms, it does not keep a chart of accounts, and it is not accounting software. Keep SMEMOVE for the books and use Nossy for the operations around them.

Will my staff actually use it?

Staff use the LINE group they are already in all day. Nossy joins it and replies when it is mentioned or when someone replies to one of its messages. There is no separate login for staff and nothing to install.

What does it cost compared to SMEMOVE?

SMEMOVE has a free plan and paid plans at 199, 399, and 699 baht a month, priced by users and employees (as of 2026-08, see smemove.com). Nossy is $20, $40, or $100 a month, priced per business with no seat charge. They are not the same purchase, so most shops that use both are paying for two different jobs.

What happens to my data if I stop?

Nossy's workbook is a spreadsheet in your own Google Drive. It stays there and stays readable, with every row. Nothing has to be exported.
