Nossy vs FlowAccount

FlowAccount produces the tax documents a Thai business has to produce. Nossy works one step earlier, in the LINE group where the day actually happens, and keeps the operating record nobody has time to type up.

Short answer Nossy does not replace FlowAccount. FlowAccount is accounting software that issues quotations, invoices, receipts, and e-Tax invoices in Thai formats. Nossy sits before that, in the chat the team already uses, and turns what people say and photograph during the day into rows in a spreadsheet in the owner's own Google Drive. A Thai SME needs both kinds of thing.

What FlowAccount is for

FlowAccount is Thai cloud accounting software for small businesses and solo operators, and it says it serves more than 130,000 businesses. It issues quotations, invoices, receipts, and e-Tax invoices with a time stamp, handles withholding tax and VAT, reconciles bank accounts, tracks stock and purchase orders, and syncs with Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop. It has mobile apps, a payroll product, and receipt scanning of its own. For keeping a Thai business compliant, it is a strong local product and Nossy is not a substitute for it.

Where it breaks in a chat-run shop

The document is the end of the story, not the start

By the time something is an invoice, the work is over. The part that goes missing is earlier: the delivery that arrived short, the stock somebody took for a catering job, the customer who paid a deposit in cash on Sunday. Those never become documents, so they never reach any accounting software, and by month end nobody is sure.

Half the shop is not accounting

Shifts, recipes, supplier follow-ups, the aircon service, which table booked at seven. None of it is money and all of it is the business. Accounting software is not built to hold it, and it should not be.

Somebody still has to type it in

FlowAccount is fast once you are sitting in front of it. The problem is being sat in front of it. In a shop with no bookkeeper, the entry happens at night, from a pile of receipts and a LINE scrollback, by the person who also opened the shop that morning.

What Nossy does instead

The LINE group becomes the record

Staff say what happened in plain words and Nossy writes the row. Something came in, something went out, a payment, a booking. Nossy takes who and when from the message itself, so the record carries its own provenance and nobody maintains a who column.

The receipt is captured when it exists

Send the photo into the chat the moment it is in someone’s hand. Nossy files the image to the project’s Google Drive folder and writes the row with a link. It confirms any figure it reads off the image with the sender first. Nothing waits in a pocket until Sunday night.

It handles the parts that are not money

During setup Nossy asks what recurs, and arms those loops when the chat connects: the nightly count, the weekly report, the payment to chase, the deadline on Friday. It nudges the owner and staff inside the group. It never messages customers.

What Nossy does not do

  • Nossy works in LINE, Telegram, and WhatsApp direct chats. WhatsApp group chats and iMessage are coming soon.
  • Nossy does not connect to your other software yet. Tool connections are coming soon.
  • Nossy never messages your customers. It works inside your team's own chat, and it nudges your own people.
  • Nossy does not replace a POS, a payment system, or accounting software.
  • Nossy reads a spreadsheet you already have once, during setup, and only if you share it as anyone with the link. Day to day it sees the files it created or was sent in chat, so a file you drop into the Drive folder by hand stays invisible to it.
  • The report pages Nossy builds are public links that last about a day. The workbook in your Drive is the durable record.
  • FlowAccount produces compliant Thai tax documents, including e-Tax invoices with a time stamp, withholding tax and VAT handling, and bank reconciliation. Nossy produces none of that, and a Thai business still needs software that does.
  • FlowAccount has a free plan and paid plans from about 165 baht a month on annual billing (as of 2026-08), plus iOS and Android apps and its own receipt scanning. For an owner who wants the books handled cheaply, it is a much smaller commitment than Nossy.

Pricing

  • Plus is $20 a month with 4,000 credits. Pro is $40 with 8,000. Max is $100 with 20,000.
  • One price per business. Your whole team chats with Nossy at no extra cost, because there are no seats.
  • Credits measure the work Nossy does. $1 buys 200 credits. Plan credits reset monthly, top-up credits do not expire.
  • There is no free plan. Nossy is in beta and we onboard teams by call.

Common questions

Do I still need FlowAccount?

If you issue tax documents in Thailand, yes. Nossy does not produce e-Tax invoices, does not handle VAT or withholding tax, and does not reconcile a bank account. Those are the reasons FlowAccount exists and Nossy does not touch any of them.

Will my staff actually use it?

Staff use the LINE group they are already in. Nossy answers there when it is mentioned or replied to, and it can be switched to answer every message. Nothing to install, no seats, no training session.

What does it cost compared to FlowAccount?

FlowAccount has a free plan and paid plans at roughly 165, 249, and 457 baht a month on annual billing (as of 2026-08, see flowaccount.com). Nossy is $20, $40, or $100 a month for the whole business. They buy different things, and most shops that run both are paying for the books and for the day separately.

What happens to my data if I stop?

The workbook is a spreadsheet in your own Google Drive. It stays where it is, readable, with every row. You keep it whether or not you keep Nossy.
