Nossy vs Grok
Grok is xAI's assistant, sharp on X and current events. Nossy is a secretary in the team's group chat, and the record lives in a spreadsheet in your Google Drive.
What Grok is for
Grok is xAI’s general assistant. It lives on grok.com and inside X, and it is built to be current, direct, and funny. People who already spend the day on X get an assistant without opening another tab. That is a good product for that job.
Where it breaks in a chat-run shop
X is not the shop floor
The owner might ask Grok a tax question. The staff logging a crate of milk are in LINE. Those rooms do not share a memory.
A witty thread is not a stock count
Grok answers. It does not become a row with a photo attached and a timestamp from the person who sent it.
No shared workbook
Ask Grok next month what the shop spent on milk and it has only what someone typed into that chat. Nossy reads the sheet.
What Nossy does instead
Nossy is boring on purpose. It joins the chat, writes rows, files photos, and reminds the owner on Friday. Grok can stay for everything that is not the shop’s operating record.

What Nossy does not do
- Nossy works in LINE, Telegram, and WhatsApp direct chats. WhatsApp group chats and iMessage are coming soon.
- Nossy does not connect to your other software yet. Tool connections are coming soon.
- Nossy never messages your customers. It works inside your team's own chat, and it nudges your own people.
- Nossy does not replace a POS, a payment system, or accounting software.
- Nossy reads a spreadsheet you already have once, during setup, and only if you share it as anyone with the link. Day to day it sees the files it created or was sent in chat, so a file you drop into the Drive folder by hand stays invisible to it.
- The report pages Nossy builds are public links that last about a day. The workbook in your Drive is the durable record.
- Grok is better at current events, X, and a punchy general chat than Nossy. For news, research, and personal questions, keep using it.
- Grok is right there in X for people who already live on the timeline, with no setup interview. Nossy needs a connected shop chat and, during beta, an onboarding call.
Pricing
- Plus is $20 a month with 4,000 credits. Pro is $40 with 8,000. Max is $100 with 20,000.
- One price per business. Your whole team chats with Nossy at no extra cost, because there are no seats.
- Credits measure the work Nossy does. $1 buys 200 credits. Plan credits reset monthly, top-up credits do not expire.
- There is no free plan. Nossy is in beta and we onboard teams by call.
Common questions
Can Nossy replace Grok?
No. Grok is a general assistant. Nossy is a shared operations secretary. They do not compete for the same hour of the day.
Will my staff actually use it?
Staff are in the group chat, not in X. Nossy joins the chat. Nobody creates a Grok account to file a delivery.
What does it cost compared to Grok?
Grok has a free tier, with more access on X Premium and SuperGrok plans (as of 2026-08, see x.ai/grok). Nossy is $20, $40, or $100 a month per business.
What happens to my data if I stop?
The workbook stays in your Google Drive. Grok conversations stay with xAI. The sheet was yours the whole time.
